Memory is an amazing thing. I have been told that everything you have ever seen, heard, tasted, or felt is stored in your mind. We have, since the first Wednesday night in September been teaching the children we pick up with the bus about God and our Savior, Jesus Christ. They have been taught the Gospel which is how that Christ died for OUR sins according to the scriptures and that He was buried and rose again the third day according to the scriptures. It is a powerful message. The Apostle Paul describes the Gospel as "The power of God unto salvation." It is our prayer that these children will remember that Christ died for their sins and that if they will repent and believe in Jesus He will have mercy on their souls.
It is comforting to know that Clint knows the Lord as his savior. If Clint could speak right now he would tell you that everybody needs to know the Lord. Clint had surgery today. They did a tracheotomy on him and grafted skin to his other leg. He came through the surgery just fine. He has a fever and they are treating that with antibiotics. It has been another good day for him.
Tonight is the last night of our mid-week Bible school. We are going to feed the kids some pizza and let them have a longer play time in the gym. We we resume in September, Lord willing. Janie and I are headed for Henderson tonight and will have to go in separate vehicles. We are going to let our oldest daugther and her husband borrow our truck and trailer. We plan to be back in Hillsboro Friday. I heard from my brother today. He has hiked 41 miles and has come off the trail to rest a couple of days before resuming. He seems to be doing well. God bless you.
