Blood

I am to meet with a representative from the Carter Blood Center today at 1:00 pm. They need to look at our church facilities to work out where they will set up for the blood drive. I will not return to Dallas today but will stay here in Hillsboro to prepare for our services tonight. That could change if Clint should have a set back. They grafted skin from a cadaver onto Clint's stomach, chest and left thigh. The surgeon said that they got all the skin available in the Dallas Fort Worth area. It is my understanding that this skin will only last about six weeks and then the body will reject it. They do this to buy him some time and while they start the long process of grafting his own skin. The picture was taken yesterday at the hospital. From right to left is Clint's father, Tim, Clint's brother, Chris, and Josh who was our youth director for six years at Walnut Street Baptist Church and a very close friend. People have driven in from Arkansas, Louisiana, and Colorado to see about Clint. There are so many people at the hospital checking up on Clint that they fill the waiting room and many have to stand out in the hall. When I left the hospital on Sunday there were about 30 people in the hall all there for Clint and his family. Please keep them in your prayers.
My oldest daughter and her family came up to Elkhart, Texas to get their travel trailer. They had let my youngest daughter live in it when she first got married. I have not heard as yet if they made it back home without any problems. The truck they use to move the trailer is not in real good shape. I suppose that no news is good news. God bless you.
